Geographic Server Load Balancing

Reduce costs and improve performance through DNS load balancing. Utilize multiple inexpensive servers at two or more locations in order to deliver more reliability and faster response times then could be done with a few power servers at twice the cost.

  • Complements existing server load balancing devices
  • Intelligent round robin services utilizing our ActiveDNS
  • Take advantage of multiple diverse Internet backbones without BGP
  • Assign specific weights to each server or server cluster if one is more powerful than another, this is very useful when combined with a server load balancer

Continuous Server Monitoring

All of our services start with server monitoring. Utilizing our multiple data centers in the West, Mid-West and Eastern United States this service is able to monitor our customers server from diverse points on the Internet via different backbone providers. This ensures that in the event of a failure within our own network that we are still able to monitor our customers networks from diverse points.

  • Our monitoring system is fully integrated, meaning that each node works with the others to determine when an outage has occurred
  • Each data center provides level one services, including diverse backbone access, 24/7 security, fully redundant power and colling systems
  • Monitoring can be done via standard ICMP or through different network service protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, FTP, etc.
  • The monitoring system is fast, meaning that we are able to test multiple servers for multiple customers at the same time, which translates to our being able to detect outages within seconds, not minutes
  • Further, our NOC monitors our monitoring systems 24/7/365, and in the event of a failure within our own network, our NOC can make corrections within minutes
